Deddington Cricket Club was re formed in the mid-eighties by a group of like-minded cricketers then playing for a variety of clubs in surrounding Oxfordshire villages. They felt that Deddington was big enough to support a cricket club once again. The original pitch was at the old Windmill School and from humble beginnings the club steadily grew. By the early nineties, due to house building, the pitch had been moved to the Windmill Centre.
